This Mother’s Day, let’s take a moment to honor all the moms who have made a difference in our lives. It is important to recognize and celebrate the incredible contribution these special women make to our families and society. Let’s take some time to show our appreciation for all the moms in our lives!

The history of Mother's Day

The celebration of Mother’s Day has been around since ancient times, but the holiday, as we know it today, is said to have originated in the United States.

Anna Jarvis is credited with beginning the modern Mother’s Day tradition in 1908 when she held a memorial service in honor of her mother. That same year, the first official Mother’s Day was observed in churches across the country.

In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson officially made Mother’s Day a national holiday. He recognized the efforts of all mothers and wanted to pay tribute to their hard work and dedication.

Since then, Mother’s Day has become a widely celebrated event all over the world. It is traditionally celebrated on the second Sunday in May, with people honoring their mothers with gifts, cards, and special meals.

This Mother’s day, we recognize and celebrate all mothers for their invaluable contributions to our families and society.

How to make Mother's Day special

Mother’s Day is a special time to show appreciation to the women in our lives who have been there for us through thick and thin.

There are so many ways to make this Mother’s Day extra special, from heartfelt gifts and activities to make sure your mom gets to relax and unwind. Here are some ideas for how to make this Mother’s Day memorable:

  • Send a personalized gift: Nothing says “I love you” like a thoughtful, personalized gift. Put together a basket of goodies that show how much you care about your mom, or get her something she’s been wanting but hasn’t had the chance to get yet.
  • Take her out for brunch: Celebrate Mother’s Day by taking your mom out for brunch. Whether it’s at her favorite spot or somewhere new, spending quality time together while enjoying good food is always appreciated.
  • Plan a day of activities: Spend the day doing something fun with your mom! Take a scenic drive, go shopping, explore a museum or do anything else that you know she loves.
  • Prepare a home-cooked meal: Show your mom your culinary skills by preparing her a delicious home-cooked meal. Add an extra special touch by setting up the table with beautiful decorations and/or homemade cards.
  • Do something meaningful: If you’re unable to be with your mom on Mother’s Day, think of something meaningful you can do for her from afar. Send her flowers, write her a letter, or give her a call—all these little gestures will surely put a smile on her face.

No matter how you choose to celebrate this Mother’s Day, it’s important to show appreciation for all the moms in our lives and make them feel special.

Thank you to all Mothers

This Mother’s Day, we want to take a moment to thank all the moms out there who have worked hard and sacrificed so much for their families. To the grandmothers and great-grandmothers who raised us, gave us advice, and taught us right from wrong – thank you.

To the mothers-in-law and stepmothers who stepped in and provided us with unconditional love – thank you. To all the single moms who work tirelessly to provide for their children, while also caring for them emotionally – thank you.

We also thank all the mothers who have come before us and set a standard for motherhood. From those who have been praised for their hard work to those who have gone unrecognized for their contributions, we honor and thank each of them.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day, let’s remember to show our appreciation to the moms in our lives and thank them for all they do.
